Pray for Ukraine

Ukraine under attack?  What an unexpected horrendous event.  How very sad for all and also for Ukrainian mariners that are away from their country and loved ones.  We received a call from a cargo vessel that we had given a welcome package to.  The mariner was on a container ship, and he wanted to come ashore and call his family.  We returned to his vessel and brought him to the ministry.  He shared with us that there were a number of Ukrainians on board that were not able to get home and could not get in contact with their families.  After praying together, we offered any service we could provide.  This started an evening of transporting crew to Bayside shopping, the ministry and back to port and their vessel.  As the evening ended, I stopped at the foot of the gangway to their vessel and was overwhelmed with emotion.  My heart is broken for these young men in such distress.  I put my hand on one of their shoulders, bowed and offered a prayer to the Lord asking for protection for their families, their country and for the Lord to make these men aware that He is always with them and their families.

Now for your job, keep these mariners, their families and a quick end to hostilities covered in prayer.
